@jmadhavadas Thank you! It was cool to see all the odd shaped trucks on board. No tanks, though.

Here are a few more rail cars I've thought interesting...

A trailer load of totem poles heading east out of KC. Most unusual load I've seen.

WE ARE RAIL FANS !!!
avatar
Maersk.146

@jmadhavadas Wow! That's right on!
Just noticed that it was narrated by Sean Bean, who played the bad guy in Patriot Games with Harrison Ford... Well, if he’s really a rail fan, he can’t be all bad, right...?

"Going-Away" views can be interesting, too...

UP 119 "Kenefick" is a heavyweight business car, seen here at Mid America Car for some work to prepare it for next year's 150th Anniversary of the "Golden Spike" ceremony for completion of the first US transcontinental railroad at Promontory Point, Utah.

BNSF 6978 West descends the west end of the imposing KCT Sheffield Flyover.

UP 6459 South comes off the KCT High Line (via the "Kenefick" connection) onto BNSF's Fort Scott Sub with a loaded coal train.

BNSF 6984 East streaks past and onto the Crooked River bridge at Hardin, Missouri

Amtrak Midwest SC44 loco operated by IDTX (Illinois Dept. of Transportation) pulls #314
eastward along the KC Terminal, crossing UP and KCS at ground level. Sheffield Flyover
soars above, allowing BNSF, UP and Amtrak #3 & 4 swift passage into and out of KC,
unimpeded by other rail traffic.

Here is the rest of it, JM. Good for 40 mph, freight, and 60 mph, passenger.

Alternate view of the Sibley Bridge.

Sugar Creek, looking west, into the curve.

Just testing, to see if a wider format displays okay...

It does, so here's another one:

@jmadhavadas Agreed! Now let's all put more of them up here. Railroady, of course, and with a 2:1 or 3:1 aspect ratio, as seen above. 3:1 does not immediately show correctly on a mobile device unless you tap on the picture and turn the phone sideways, I've found, but 2:1 displays fine with any device and position. 16:9 would also work.

@Maersk.146 That is true. Even I have experienced that
