@Maersk.146 I am glad you like it! The 08.02 Intercity service from Thessaloniki to Athens passes the seaside town of Platamon, 25 km southeast of Mount Olympus on the banks of the Aegean Sea. Its most famous landmark is the 12th century Byzantine Castle of Platamon, built strategically along the main road from Thessaly to Macedonia. Nowadays the sea view is lacking for railway passengers since the line passes through a tunnel. In 1989 the Greek railways (OSE) ordered twelve four-car DMUs (also later eight five-car DMUs) from the Lokomotivbau-Elektrotechnische Werke at Hennigsdorf (GDR), intended for the intercity service between Athens and Thessaloniki.
