This looks a bit like the Union Pacific in central Wyoming, though your rail infrastructure is more impressive (and electrified). Would be nice to see a 4-8-8-4 Big Boy blasting through this cut with a long coal train as seen here! 🚂 🙂
The length of the stations is not the same as yours. "Turksib" Almaty-Semey only accepts 57 cars, no more. There are gauges for 80 cars. take on the station track, then translate the arrows. The train backs up, passes the others on the second track, then goes again. In 1986, 135 coal wagons were sent from Ekibastuz. And once such a train broke the arrows at the station in Tselinograd. They don't make such long trains anymore.
@tzhs Interesting, if only that were true in the US. The railroads here keep making trains even longer, in order to reduce the number of trains and crews to drive them.
