Long telephoto lens brings out this warped gondola car - I wonder is this result of poor car design or are these cars not intended to be hauled between loco and loaded train?

@Romet.Lyytsepp Apparently it has been seriously overloaded with scrap metal over its life, and though this is an extreme example, it is not uncommon to see other such cars with this feature of heavy use. The scrap metal industry is not especially careful with their fleet.
