Thanks, Keith, as I think in this living complex "Novopecherskie Lypky" buildings mostly are luxury appartments. Also in last decades in Kyiv in the interests of the construction mafia, many historical buildings were destroyed.
@Naddnipryanets Aww, that's too bad about the historical buildings, Yurko. The US also has a lot of building activity and developers do get a lot of favoritism from local governments, but some old buildings have been saved by being legally protected as historically significant (but such machinery has to be in place and enforced if it is to work, understandably).
