This picture was shot from Anandathandapuram, a peaceful village near Mayiladuthurai.At the time of clicking this pic, this was a pole-free section where diesel locomotives ruled. 2 years from then,this place is now electrified, and you can hardly spot diesel locomotives now. Wonder that tree is still there or not..As IR is focussing on electrifying all broad gauge routes by 2023, pictures like these would soon become a history.
