Diesel loco shed,Tughlakabad, a loco shed near Delhi, has gained recent popularity among Indian Railfans for painting their EMD locomotives (WDP-4B and WDP-4D) in different amazing liveries. At a time when there is an increasing monotony with many trains looking almost the same with less variation in liveries, and rapid condemnation of ALCo locomotives, this shed came as a saviour. During the early weeks of 2021, Tughlakabad diesel locomotive shed painted its first EMD in the above livery- WDP-4D "40200 named "Rani Ahilyabai"..These locomotives were painted in this livery, and named after Brave Women in Indian History, who had a significant role to play in fighting against invaders. A few locomotives have been painted in this livery, and one among them is shown in the picture- WDP-4B "40050" named after the queen "Rani Velu Nachiyar", who fought the British in South India.
