BNSF 600 is the class unit of the AC44C4M model unique to BNSF (having only four powered axles instead of six). Apparently, the model is not as popular on BNSF as are similar DC-to-AC units on other railroads, such as NS, UP & CP, which now have many hundreds of such upgraded conversions. BNSF seems to prefer newly-built power versus rebuilds, at least for now.
