Downs Explorer C17 Class '974' hauls a water tank wagon with Downs Explorer DH Class 'DH45' on the rear of transfer service R633 to Toowoomba Railway Station spotted here headed northwards through Toowoomba on the South Western System to Toowoomba Railway Station at 12:19pm for a switch over where Downs Explorer will be handing over "operator-ship" to it's original owner (Queensland Rail) where afterwards a Queensland Rail crew will continue driving '974' east to the Ipswich Railway Workshops as service R501 as seen in other photographs on my gallery. This is because Downs Explorer had leased '974' from Queensland Rail for operations on their heritage railway while they have been restoring their own steam locomotive and the 8th of April, 2024 was the day of returning '974' to Queensland Rail. 'DH45' will be used by the Downs Explorer crew for transportation back south to their origin of Warwick with their water tank wagon. Gauge: 3ft 6in [1,067mm]
