Region-express (REKS) is the new railway operator in Russia founded in 2011 as the subsidary of RZD, Aeroexpress and some other companies. Currently it has 2 class ED4M EMUs on hire that run once an hour between Moscow (Savelovsky st.) and satellite town Lobnya. Trip takes 25 minutes with 1 stop at Dolgoprudnaya platf. compared with 36 minutes for trains calling all stops. REKS's EMUs are claimed to be more comfortable than other local trains, and due to this fact the ticket is two times more expensive than the one for a conventional train.
