At the first days on which Locon Benelux had the contract to ride the garbage-services all over The Netherlands they used some hired or bought locomotives from other companies. One of these locomotives was NS 1827, which turned later into Locon 9901. The first days in service of Locon the locomotive was still numbered 1827 with even some NS-logos on the sidewall of the locomotive. NS, the national railway company of The Netherlands, has no freight trains running since the beginning of the year 2000. While Locon Benelux didn't remove the NS-sign it looked like the first NS-freight train within 12 years!
