HLE 20 in freight service !? I don't know if I saw this before. In our region, coming from the Stockem (near Arlon) depot, they mostly do passenger service.

That's correct, the HLE is used for passenger service in your region, in Antwerp however there seen with cargo services. See also Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=HLE20 There are a lot of pictures of the HLE20 with cargo's.
