This shot was taken on the Naples-ReggioCalabria main line in the mountain region of the Cilento.
The original single track layout, built in the late XIX century, was entirely replaced after the destruction of the Second World War by the new faster double track one.
In this area, not far from Palinuro cape, the station of Centola was rebuilt and the meandering section to Celle di Bulgheria was replaced by this enormous viaduct.

Here you'll find more pictures of the same area. They were taken from the bridges of the old line, still used as footpath!

However in this other pic, taken near Agropoli, some miles North from Centola, you could easily note the strange situation of this line with the old and the new layout still side by side!
