The brakeman on inbound MP 3167 points at me while I record this image from the cab of outbound MP 3207. While taking photos from the roadway adjacent to the tracks, a friendly engineer invited me up into the cab and even to ride along to the next crew change at Coffeyville, KS, over 100 miles to the south. Normally I'd have jumped at the chance to do so, but was borrowing my dad's car (at left in this view) for the day and had to pick him up from work within the next hour or so. Nuts!
