1st August 2014 was the first day when a EMU passed the famous Anghel Saligny over Danube river. And this EMU is called Angelo / Hyperion, it reached 176 km/h while on Făurei test track and has a commercial speed of 160 km/h. Its four ABB asyncronous electric motors develop 1720 kW and can run under 3kV DC and 25 kV 50 Hz AC. After the omologation tests, it was hired for free to CFR Călători on Craiova - Bucharest line between 1st June and 31st July.
