Off in the distance is my ride, the eastbound Empire Builder, stopped at Havre for a change of power. We had about a half hour to wait, so I jumped off and made a bee-line for this old ex-Great Northern switcher in the yard. The BN merger was just over six years old at this point and there were still plenty of predecessor paint schemes to be found all over the system.
