Vivek Express, was started to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda by then Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee. Vivek Express is a weekly train that runs from Dibrugarh in the North-Eastern state of Assam to Kanyakumari in the Southern state of TamilNadu covering 4282 km with 56 stops in 82 hrs 15 mins (5 days). It is the World's 10th longest train service . The train travels through the states of Assam, West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
