Nice livery
It was nice but short-lived, since the merger between Santa Fe and Southern Pacific was not approved by the Interstate Commerce Commission. Normally a company might wait until approval before painting a lot of equipment into a new scheme, but the railroads thought they had it in the bag, so dozens of units and even some cabooses were done in what came to be known as the Kodachrome scheme. The complete logo would have been SPSF. After the merger was denied, SPSF became an acronym for "Shouldn't Paint So Fast".
