Since December 2010, when the high-speed line was extended from Barcelona to Figueres and the French border, the Catalan Talgo was taken out of the regular service. However, one composition of the Talgo III (the 2B2 exactly) is preserved by the Association "5a Zona" of Badalona (north of the Barcelona province), in collaboration with the Spanish Railways Foundation.
