A real technical curiosity can be found at the Rimutaka Incline Heritage Railway Trust's workshop nearby Maymorn station in NZ. This is a piece of track from a Fell railway system, which was used at the steepest part of Rimutaka Incline between 1878 and 1955. The 1067mm gauge is also equipped with a third rail in the middle, providing extra traction and braking. The last remaining Fell steam locomotive H199 is now displayed in Featherston, the other end of the former incline.
