Actually this is KAI Rheostathik class because this had rheostathik electrical system 😄

The gauge is 1067mm

please change the database 🙂

A modification from KAI class CC 201 with modified the number of traction motor so each bogie has 2 motor only (CC 201 has 3 motor each bogie) so the wheel configuration si A1A-A1A. This class was bought fresh from GE, Erie, PA, USA. Indonesia bought BB 203 from South Sumatra and north coast of Java Island because at that time the weight of that track cannot be passed by CC 201 class. So BB 203's weight is lighter than CC 201 and of course the power is weaker than CC 201.

But after several years, some tracks in north coast of Java island have been repaired so that tracks can be passed by CC 201 class. After that some of BB 203 class mas modified into CC 201 class by adding one traction motor in each bogie so the wheel configuration changed into Co-Co class. The modification took place in Pengok Locomotive work. The BB 203s class in sumatra was modified too into CC 201 class and took place in Lahat work. All BB 203 class in Java Island modified into CC 201 class so there are no more BB 203 class in Java but not all BB 203 in sumatra modified into CC 201. Because of that, now BB 203 class can be found in South Sumatra area like in this photo.

Bought by Solo City government, Joko Widodo, this Railbus is for new train for Solo-Wonogiri track that not only for passenger but also tour for other people. This set contain 3 wagon which the first wagon is for engine, driver, passenger and the second (in the middle) for passenger only, and the third is for passenger and driver. The engine is same as KRDE so this railbus has Diesel-Electric transmission. This railbus originally made from INKA, Indonesia.

Actually there are another Railbus in South Sumatera area which called railbus Kertalaya. But the railbus different with this one because that railbus was the first railbus which INKA made.

This railbus made several testing due to technical problem so many request from mr. Joko Widodo. But after several month testing in INKA and Solo-Madiun track this railbus finally made Grand Opening in Lodji Gandrung (Place where there are big street in the front and railway in the side like tramway) but after Grand Opening the railbus was sent back into INKA because Mr. Joko Widodo made same request again.

p.s. : I was there in Grand Opening and i so wet because it's rainy outside and i can't go inside Raibus but fortunately i can go inside Railbus after some negotiation with INKA mechanical :p

Different with another 'full cabin' CC 204 class, this old-style CC 204 actually based on CC 201 and modified into CC 204 class by adding Sirius-Brightstar Computer into it. Modification started in 2003 and ended in 2005 and now there are 7 CC 204 classes which the original is CC 201. The designated code also changed into C18MMi.

The modification is take place in Pengok Workshop, Jogjakarta, which the location of this photo is areal of that workshop.

After modificationing CC 201 class into CC 204 now indonesia built a "Brand-new" CC 204 which imported from GE, USA and assembled in INKA Industry, Madiun. INKA and GE made new contract to built 37 new CC 204s. The design code is C20EMP and has different physical body with old CC 204.
