He is actually turning onto BNSF Main 2 and the NS line to Moberly, Missouri, is what goes straight at this interchange. In the background we see him coming off BNSF Main 1. NS owns and maintains (but BNSF has dispatch control of) the line segment directly behind the power, for about twenty miles west.
