It was actually darker than this, but cameras can only do so much, as good as they are. The actual colors at the scene were just awesome! A lower ISO might have captured them better, but would have blurred the moving train on the left with the resulting slow shutter speed.

@Maersk.146 What's that red spot on the ballast by 4286?

@1cctlives - Oh it's just some lens flare from the bright headlight, exactly opposite in the frame from the headlight. There is even a roundish blob in the center of the picture that was caused by the flare, as well. I imagine that the 8000 ISO was mostly to blame, but shooting wide open didn't help, either. But I got the picture !
