@1cctlives It is the former Sibley Generating Station, closed in late 2018 by Kansas City Power & Light, but originally built by Missouri Public Service in the 50's. The plant is now completely gone (see my earlier pictures for how it looked), and the stack is being chipped away gradually. Supposedly it had as many as twenty years of life left, but Evergy (KCP&L) decided to close it early. Possibly the difficulty of delivering coal by rail to the facility contributed to its doom. BNSF has already removed one of the two rail entries to the plant. The track used to go right through the base of the stack for some reason, though space was tight in the complex. It will be missed as a landmark visible for many miles.
