This photo was taken at the last day in service of the line between Flamatt and Laupen. After the timetable change in December 2019 the line went under construction and opened recently (Begin of 2021) again. The old station of Laupen was demolished and the stop was relocated to this exact position where the train is. Also the stations Neuenegg and Flamatt Dorf have been modernized. The relocation of the old station was made because one of the main roads in this region crossed the railway in front of the station. Many decades prior the line between Laupen and Gümmenen was closed and demolished. Also the switch for the former track 2 and 3 was removed. So it was only possible to have one train at any given time in the terminus station. When a train was approaching, the railway crossing was closed for a long period of time and in rush hour a traffic jam was formed rather quickly.
