As the electrification of IR is in full swing and targeted to be completed by 2023, WAP-7 locomotives have become a regular spotting. Spotting electric locos of other classes have become a rarity. Diesel locomotives have completely disappeared from mainline duties. They are now mostly spotted in the yards and stations on shunting and departmental duties.
