I have been spotting Thiruvananthapuram Rajdhani Express for many years as this train connects my state capital, Thiruvananthapuram which is also my home city with the national capital, New Delhi. It is a premium class train too. For years I had been spotting this train with different class of ALCos like WDP-3A, WDM-3A & WDM-3D. As ALCos vanished from mainline duties, WDP-4D class took charge. Meantime, the Konkan section got electrified, it was time for diesel traction to say farewell to this prestigious train. So as per the Railway Board directive, September 20, 2022 the last diesel traction run started from Thiruvananthapuram Central. It was a sad moment to see the last run of diesel traction passing me leaving me with fond memories of this train with ALCos & EMDs
