The Tadami line was hit by a severe rainstorm in 2011 and had been partially out of service for 11 years. From Oct.1st 2022, the line resumed regular operation. As a celebration of the reopening, a special train consisting of a DE10 diesel locomotive and old JNR carriages was organized by JR East.
