The Golden Chariot is a luxury train covering the important tourist spots in South India. Started by the State Govt. Of Karnataka in 2008, the train was not running during the covid period. It has been recently restarted by IRCTC, the tourism and ticketing partner of IR. This journey, called Jewels of South, takes the visitors to Mysore, Hampi, Mahabalipuram, Tanjavur, Chettinad, Kumarakom and Cochin over a period of 6 nights/7days.
