One interesting route in the Indian Railways is the Sri Ganganagar-Abohar section. At a length of 53 kms,this section lies in the Northern Railway zone. I travelled through this route,on learning about its course.. It almost goes parallel to the high tension International border between India and Pakistan,and at reaching Hindumalkote, we can see the border fence at a distance..And soon after Hindumalkote,the line curves inwards to proceed towards Abohar Junction in the state of Punjab. Also,currently just after Fatuhi station, the poles have been laid for electrification, having the same fate as the other routes.
