After years of service for dutch national passenger operator, NS, the NS1700's will soon retire. Or at least with NS, as there are private operators buying these loco's. Officially the last train will run on the 9th of december, although it looks like they will continue in revenue service until at least januari (possibly even until april 2024). So it's not goodbye just yet. However on the 19th of november the dutch railways made a farewell tour through The Netherlands. In my hometown of Wijchen I was able to capture this train on this cloudy, but at that exact moment sunny, day.
