The Škoda 151's will not be operating the EX241/0 Košičian Train from 1.1.25 because of the implementation of ETCS in the Czech Republic. Since these engines are not suitable for ETCS. Some of them have been confined to Prague for operation on the Praga - Děčín corridor with express trains and the rest have been retired.

@mattiasrikka The locomotives class 151 and 150.2 are too old. Installing ETCS is not economical.

@mattiasrikka Locomotives 151 have not been running to Košice for several years. Train 241/240 has been operated by EMU 680 (Pendolino) since about 2018. This designation of the locomotive 151 series was part of the farewell to the main line, where they were an icon for decades. It was a few days at the end of the year. From 01.01.2025, exclusive ETCS operation will gradually be launched on the main line.
