What is the history of this place?

This is a children's railway in Almaty. It was built in 1952. The first steam locomotive UP-40. Later diesel locomotives TU-2. In the picture the last diesel locomotive TU7A not working.

But this we do not like a locomotive, it is a toy. Locomotives: UP-40, TU-2, TU-7A were real! and they loved all the children!
