This was taken from the cab of a Pendolino service heading south. Note the driver waving at the driver of (our) Virgin train. This was the first time I'd seen a recently introduced class 70, and probably a unique photo of one. The whole trip is available (speeded up) on youtube at:
- "Glasgow to Carlisle in 8 and a half minutes". You can see this train pass at about 4minutes 10 secs.
