This is WDP-4D class which is quite different from WDP-4 class.. Dual cab , 6 traction motors (Co-Co),In addition, the traction motors have individual inverters, so that in the case of one inverter failing, 5 traction motors are still available, allowing the loco to reach its destination under reduced power.
I'm glad that IR have bought twin cab designs, running long hood first crew visibility from the WDP4s must have been terrible, they didn't look very nice to photograph either.
