What a great composition with a tiny little freight consist!

Actually, it would be approaching the 1000 tonnes tare weight if the wagons were full. These look to be for limestone or dolomite which is reasonably heavy for its bulk.

@PGG this train weighed approximately 1,200 tons requiring double symmetrical traction to overcome the slope between Lecco and Valmadrera.

Did not see the rear locomotive. Thanks for the confirmation of the weight.
