Strictly speaking the Fairlie engines belong to Ffestiniog Railway, although WHR is now owned by the same company this is academic. WHR is most associated with its own type of articulated, the former South African Garretts.
Excellent this picture. I would to be there. I visited the Ffestiniog Railway end 70's and made a ride with the train from Blaenau Ffestiniog to Porthmadog. It was an excellent experience. Great to see how those volunteers maintain the trains and the whole track (+22 km). Everything was so nice and clean and al this in a beautiful scenery. It's nice to see your pictures of the Ffestiniog Railway. I like to go back to Wales.
