CNW 951 is one of a group of SD45 locos ordered by CNW without dynamic brakes, as evidenced by the smooth carbody above the number. No other railroad purchased SD45's with that arrangement. The trailing unit is also an SD45, but acquired from another railroad which did employ dynamic brakes on its power.
