STPT F.II 107+108Timisoara Timisoara

Type F.II represents a series of long two-axis motor wagons, of 19 pieces. Built by the Timisoara Communal Trams, between 1927-1931 and by the Electromechanical Enterprise Timisoara between 1942-1943. These two-way coaches were in service until 1988. There were also the last wagons built with wooden casing and metal frame. As an outer structure, they were identical to short type F wagons, being derived from those. The management of the tram company in Arad, seeing the F.II wagons, built two identical units in 1949, but for the 1000 mm gauge, which they coupled as Twins. In Arad, the two wagons were not assigned a name. Type F.II present at that time superior characteristics to other types of wagons.

Characteristics of F.II motor wagons
- body length - 9220 mm;
- width - 2200 mm;
- length between buffers - 10020 mm;
- axle spacing - 3200 mm;
- weight - 8700 kg;
- seating places - 24;
- standing places - 28.

The first 15 pcs. were built as a solo motor wagon with the electrical equipment provided by the French company Compagnie Française Thomson-Houston in Paris. Park numbers have been assigned in the order of construction as follows:

> 1927 - no. 107, 108, 109;
> 1928 - no. 110, 111, 112;
> 1929 - no. 113, 114, 115;
> 1930 - no. 116, 117, 118;
> 1931 - no. 119, 120, 121.

In January 1931, Communal Trams form from wagons no. 107 and 108, by linking them, a bidirectional train, according to a Hungarian model. Thus, on January 19, 1931, the first Twins tram couple was formed, also called "double-command tram".
