The Fyra V250 made by AnsaldoBreda was a total disaster. The Dutch Railways ordered back in 2005 19 trains, that had to be delivered in 2007 and planned to enter service in the same year. After 2 years delay the first V250 prototype arrived in the Netherlands for homologation. Due to many problems during trials, the first V250 entered service in 2012. 5 years delayed! In service the problems continued. Doors felt off, sheet metal work broken while riding and many more problems. Because the safety was no longer guaranteed, the homologation was withdrawn by Dutch railway officials. The Dutch Railway had no longer faith in the V250 and had decided to sell the V250 back to AnsaldoBreda, what wasn't easy as you can imagine. In 2014 all V250's where back in Italy. The V250 has been temporarily replaced by brand new ordered Traxx locomotives with coaches. New ordered high speed trains by Alstom are planned to enter service in 2021.
