Västra stambanan overpass over Grödingebanan

Grödingebanan is a 31 km long railway between Flemingsberg and Järna stations that was built in the beginning of 1990s in order to increase capacity for train traffic between Stockholm and Southern/Western Sweden. The line was intended for use of intercity and fast regional trains, therefore it allowed remarkable decrease in travel times. The design speed is 250 km/h for tilting trains, but due to rolling stock and signalling limitations the operation speed is 205 km/h.

Since the railway was designed through scenic mountainous landscape, it contains numerous tunnels, high bridges and deep cuttings, therefore it offers many beautiful spots for trainspotting.
