Electric train ET2A (right) was the first electric train with asynchronous traction engines for the post-Soviet period. It was built in 1999 at the Torzhok Carriage Works (TorVZ) and was sent to the VNIIZhT testing ground in Shcherbinka. It is unique, as it is built in a single instance and there are no more electric trains with this design option. In addition to asynchronous motors had a microprocessor control system, instead of a contactor-rheostat system, which had valid models all Soviet and Russian electric trains. For a long time the electric train was on tests that were unsuccessful. Until 2008 was at the VNIIZhT testing ground. After that the electric train was in various places for storage. Currently located on the reserve base Torzhok, where ET2A expects a write-off from the balance of RZD and utilization. In addition, it was possible to photograph the electric train ER2 (left), green colors with a "round" design. There are few such electric trains in Russia. I got permission to access the reserve base and went with my group of photographers. Participants of the trip were from Moscow and St. Petersburg. We was very pleased with the result!

Thank you! It's nice that the efforts are not in vain.
