I wonder how they apply white paint to the rails without also getting it on the rail anchors? They look completely clean!

They use a railcar with automatic paint sprayer. This is why the paint look perfect. In other places I personally saw that the rail anchors get painted too, but it was a different type of anchor.

I believe to reduce expansion and thus heat kinks in the track.
