Topic about trains in scale, layouts, and more about the model railway world

Here's what I'm working on now, during these days of social distancing and being home-bound... and where it will live.
Finally got the truss side gusset plates designed. And an illustration of how they will look when painted a dark, rusty color.
2020/07/15 - Made the track deck for the bridge today, also glued the first truss side together. The green angles will go away.
Woo hoo! Starting to look more like a bridge! As of July 17, 2020.
30 August - Gusset plates installed on first truss side. Very tedious to design, cut out and apply, but progress is good!
2 Sep - Both truss sides (shown reversed in view below) now have inner gusset plates installed. Next, planning for the interior, top and bottom X-bracing and the portals at each end.
7 Sep - Planning of interior, top, bottom and end portal X-bracing complete, next job is to build templates and cut X-bracing materials. That will take a while. It turned out that the X-bracing alone required forty feet of 1/8"x3/16" basswood strips to be cut, to satisfy needs in the drawing below.
Some pictures of my European/American layout, still working on it. H0 Scale, DC all Digital.

@Taurus717
Nice to see they have models of the Caimans! Who makes those? The Siemens OBB models look good, too. Now you need some SD70ACe’s to go with those AC 6000’s!
@Maersk.146 Those E655 and E655 were built by ACME. But Roco made them too, like many of the other units you see in the picture. I'd like to have some SD70 too, but i'm saving some money to built whole trains that i've already photographed for real, for example the Water train
https://trainspo.com/photo/109860/ , the grain train
https://trainspo.com/photo/100045/ , my favourite, the Concrete train
https://trainspo.com/photo/109791/ and of course some regional trains that i'm travelling with each day.
@Taurus717 - Thanks for the info! Sounds like you have a good plan. Next, the scenery stage!
After almost 10 years working in the shipping business, i've decided to create a model train company: PT Trains.
Some of our models (industrially made and all officially licensed) were released last year and the second edition will be available in shops worldwide in 2 weeks.
Hope to have the Medway 4700 electric locomotive available untill Xmas. It is made in partnership with LS Models.
Some images received from enthusiasts and also the 20' Open Top prototypes.

@G82 - I think I need a couple of those Maersk boxes!
@Maersk.146 They'll be available next week. They are exact 1:87 scale. Already some reviews made in Germany and the US.
In the US we still don't work with any shop(s), but in Canada yes. I can inform you which is and you can order.
@G82
You might check with Walthers in the US as a possible wholesale outlet for your products. They are huge and offer many items from around the world. The only cautionary note I might make is that they might specify a larger wholesale discount for themselves than is normal when working with dealers in general. They seem to think it proper to require a 55% discount, rather than the customary 40%, since they also sell to other dealers and want a piece of the pie for themselves when making those sales at 40% to the dealers.
Still, if you can make your containers fast enough and economically enough, they might do well in the US, since container train models are very popular.
@Maersk.146 For some european countries we have a distributor. Very happy so far.
So far, there are talks, but nothing specific yet and the present situation is not helping.
There will be reviews/unboxings which could help to reach more people and therefore shops could start to receive orders.
These are from the second edition and will be available next week.

@G82 - Beautiful! In the US, we see Hamburg Sud, MSC (in several colors), Safmarine, Cronos, Triton & UASC all the time. I’ve never seen the Nile-Dutch boxes, nor the others in the above list. We do see P&O Ned Lloyd, and Maersk has some nice white reefer boxes which take hang-on portable units at the front. Never seen any models of those...See

Some of the 20' Open Tops released. Photos received by an enthusiast who, i think, made an excellent job weathering them.
@Maersk.146 we already work with a distributor for North America: PWRS (in Canada).
@G82
Amazing detail and weathering on the containers! I'll have to be on the lookout for those, too.
Limited edition of the Maersk Rainbow Containers already available, as well as the 3rd edition of the 20'DV and 40'HC containers.

Is there a current list of road names for the other 20’ & 40’ containers? It looks like there are some interesting new ones in the stacks shown in your pictures
.
