The Golden Temple or Harmandir Sahib or or Suvaran Mandir s the pre-eminent spiritual site of Sikhism. It is one of the holiest sites in Sikhism, alongside the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur in Kartarpur, and Gurdwara Janam Asthan in Nankana Sahib. Maharaja Ranjit Singh, after founding the Sikh Empire, rebuilt it in marble and copper in 1809, and overlaid the sanctum with gold leaf in 1830. This has led to the name the Golden Temple. The Golden Temple is an open house of worship for all people.
Tigress Ridhi's hunting mode on but she was exposed by the AWACS of the forest, langurs ... but she proved to be smarter, she moved behind the forest and made the kill in the next 30 mins
@jmadhavadas Very beautiful temple!
@jmadhavadas - Amazing photos of tiger and temple!
After a horrible experience with Indigo - 6E flight from Thiruvananthapuram to Ahmedabad via Hyderabad where I missed the connection flight at Hyderabad due the mismanagement by Indigo staff and the non - arrival of my baggage at Ahmedabad and hence being forced to survive with clothes I was wearing and just my cameras. But this lioness at Gir Wildlife Sanctuary removed all my depressing experience with Indigo airlines when she came out with her 4 cubs , almost 1 month old. Return journey was with Air India which was truly amazing with early arrivals, good service
@jmadhavadas _ Very cool! Seeing big cat cubs has to be pretty rare. Congratulations, Jayasankar!
Here in Missouri, about an hour east of Kansas City, I recently caught (with a camera, not physically!) a mama bobcat and her three kittens out in the countryside near a railroad crossing, and it was the first time in my life I have seen young ones in the wild. They saw me first, of course, and were headed for cover, but I thankfully had my longest lens on and managed to blast off a few dozen pics, of which maybe six turned out.
