Where have all the DLs gone??

Most of the freight still runs with DL here, but I mostly only take pictures of the evening 565 that runs with DFB due to bad track quality between Castlecliff-Palmy.
However, I find DFB an interesting locomotive to capture - with more than 40 years of age, it probably will be taken out of service soon.

@Kees They still need something to haul the passenger trains as the DLs aren't allowed to do that for whatever reason (speed being one of them!)

KiwiRail has just refurbished them at I'm told over $1M each. Most could still be running in 10 years. Indeed the DXBs are close to 50 years old now.
