This image is so unique because this train never runs in regular operation through the Swiss Rhone valley. But the weekly running Venice-Simplon-Orient-Express through Switzerland was cancelled by the operator in 2020 due to the global coronavirus crises. Finally, the situation has changed, and we can go slowly back to normal. The operator Belmond Ltd of the VSOE may has decided to start rerunning the train. All waggons were moved to Switzerland and ran on Saturday the 12th June 2021 between Cornaux and Renens VD to prepare and test for the upcoming season. I'll post some images of one of the test runs along lake Neuchâtel shortly.
