The electric section Sr3-1668, built in 1957, was able to please Russian rail fans again this year by being in working order. In the early 2000s, after Sr3-1668 finished its operation with passengers at the Yaroslavl depot, it was restored as a museum electric train, which took part in retro trips several times, as well as every year on Railwayman's Day (every first Sunday in August ) on the test circuit of the Institute of Railway Transport. It was until 2010, when at that time with my friends I visited the Research Institute of Railway Transport and expected to see this electric train in action and learned that Sr3-1668 could not come to life. After that, the electric train stood on the territory of the Institute for a long time. There were attempts to restore the electric train's performance, but it all ended in the fact that the electric motors of the motor car burned out, after which the electric train was abandoned. But this year, the Sr3-1775 electric train from the Moscow Railway Museum was brought to the territory of the Research Institute. Its motor car served as a donor for the resurrection of Sr3-1668, and after 11 years the electric train was again able to please everyone with its trip. This machine is already 64 years old..
