For the commuters waiting on the platform at Zurich station, the view of a red SBB locomotive is nothing unusual. But for the railroad enthusiasts, the 30 minutes delayed arrival of NightJet 471 is remarkable, as an Ae 6/6 is on its way with a conventional train in 2021! Due to the retirement trip of the train driver, this particular train has been created. I wish the driver all the best for his retirement and hope he enjoyed the ride despite the lousy weather.
For a long time, I studied the weather forecast the evening before and hoped for a miracle. With no motivation to face the pouring rain early in the morning, I settled for a station picture. Some photographers braved the weather and were able to capture the fascinating train at the Bözberg line. Nice job!
