Long Description: Queensland Rail 2900 Class '2904' wearing one of the brand new Queensland Rail liveries being tested on the 2900 Class series is spotted on the rear of ballast maintenance service 05B1 of 11 ballast wagons and and ballast plough led by '2906' (not seen in this photograph) arriving eastbound into Grandchester on the West Moreton System at 10:22am. '2904', like '2906' is additionally classified as an EMD GL22C-2 due to '2904' originally being a 2400 Class before being rebuilt at the Redbank Railway Workshops by Aurizon in 2022 into the 2900 Class. @1cctlives Queensland Rail still owns almost all of the 3ft 6in gauge railway network in the state except for some of the coal mining railway lines in central Queensland. That's because Queensland Rail only operates passenger trains now so they only tend to look after those lines that their passenger trains on. The central mining lines don't see any passenger trains (except for the Blackwater System) so they're owned by Aurizon. But practically everything else is Queensland Rail owned since almost all lines see some sort of Queensland Rail passenger services even if it can be very limited at times. I hope this helps!
